For winter 2017-2018, we partnered with Mt. Baker Ski Area and our sister title, The Ski Journal, on a photo contest called Artist Point and Shoot. Hosted on the @artistpointandshoot Instagram, we asked folks to upload their best imagery from Mt. Baker in real time and handed out monthly prizes for our favorite shots. More than 400 photos came in and at the end of the year, fans voted for their favorite while an overall winner was chosen by our esteemed panel of judges. In the end, Calvin Shillington earned a Mt. Baker season pass for the shot of Elliot Newman, shown here at left, while Erin Cunningham won fan’s choice for her sunset scenic (above).
