Mike Azavedo (01)
Portsmouth, NH based photographer Mike Azevedo will be celebrating his 20th year snowboarding this coming season. At the age of 33, he shows no signs of slowing down for the most part. For Mike, snowboarding and photography have always come hand in hand. In his view, sharing the good times with others is the only way to get people into the sport and keep them stoked on it. Mark Kowalchuk (02)
Mark Kowalchuk is an illustrator and graphic artist based out of Calgary, AB, who grew up in Thunder Bay, ON. With a degree in fine arts from his hometown Lakehead University and a three-year diploma in design from Toronto’s George Brown College, Mark entered the print, sport and clothing industry with a multifaceted skill set and passion for boardsports. After moving to Calgary a decade ago, Mark started Artschool Skateboards with business partner Jeff Talbot and it’s still going strong today. He’s since seen his art atop snowboards by YES, clothing from Volcom and in both clothing and marketing materials for heavy metal bands like In Flames. John Logic (03)
A native of Southern California, John Logic has resided in Seattle, WA with his wife Lisa since 1990. After ten years in radio and 24 in retail at Seattle’s legendary Snowboard Connection, Logic continues his quest to connect with all people on a deep, personal level. A proud bullshit artist, he loves collaborating to bring the best out of people, brands, and ideas. He can be reached at [email protected].
Tanner McCarty (04)
Born and raised in Massachusetts, 27-year-old Tanner McCarty earned a business degree at the University of Vermont before moving west to Seattle, WA, in 2013 to “figure it all out.” By the following year he had landed a job with Ride Snowboards, where he now holds the title of global marketing manager. “I weirdly love the struggle of working in an office and going full send on the weekends,” McCarty says. “If you score, it feels like an underdog winning the championship.” He’s also a firm believer that surrounding yourself with good people can bring positive light to any situation.
Jake Price (05)
Jake Price hails from Salem, OR, where he was bred by the Exit Real World crew with an assist from Andrew Crawford. Although he was sponsored at age 14 and placed well in major contests like the X Games, Jake moved behind the lens in his early 20s. First taken under the wing of the Robot Food crew, he went on to create legendary snow films like Airblaster’s “December” and Gigi Rüf’s “9191,” alongside dozens of other projects.
