Carson Artac
Carson Artac is a commercial and editorial photographer based in Seattle. After finishing high school in Salem, WI, Carson moved to the Pacific Northwest to work at Mt. Baker Ski Area. There he discovered a passion for storytelling and connecting with new and interesting people. After more travels, hundreds of pow days and working seasonal odd jobs, Carson finally picked up a camera and developed his passion into a career. He feels fortunate to work with brands like Never Summer, Spark R&D, Garmin, and Filson. When he’s not working, Carson is most likely in the mountains, on the rivers, or at the beach. See more of his work at www.carsonartacphoto.com.

Matt Georges
Hailing from Montpellier in southern France, Matt Georges has been shooting snowboarding for 15 years. A connoisseur of both analog and digital mediums, his work spans from snowboard action with companies such as Vans Lifestyle, The North Face, Volcom, and Quiksilver, to lifestyle work and creative direction for Roxy Running, Reebok, Red Bull, Nokia, Apple and more. In between his hectic schedule and spending time with his wife Marion and twin daughters Louise and Lison, Matt publishes an almost-annual handbound photobook about winter wanderers known as “The Dirty Dogs.” See more at mattgeorges.com and on Instagram @matt_georges.

James Hancock

Raised in the vast, windswept plains of Minnesota, James Hancock turned his gaze west at an early age. He studied biology at Colorado College, taught snowboarding at Mt. Baker Ski Area, and led wilderness expeditions for Outward Bound, calling the Beartooth Mountains and Boundary Waters his office for more than a decade. With a passion for people and their stories and a bottomless appetite for all things snowboarding, James continues to seek the untracked path, occasionally pausing to document it. He currently works as a leadership and brand consultant, still moonlighting as a freelance writer and photographer. His work has been featured in The Snowboarder’s Journal, Stuck Magazine, City Pages, Canoe & Kayak, and Bomb Snow. James lives in Minneapolis with his wife Kristen and their daughter Ada, and his newest project can be seen at tengranddesign.com.

Luke Smithwick

Luke Smithwick was born in North Carolina, far from any sizeable mountains. Yet he moved to Alaska in 2001 and rode the Chugach for nine years before relocating to the Himalaya in 2010. He’s now focused on finding the perfect 10,000-vertical-foot couloir in the more jagged regions of the Himalaya, including the Karakoram, Garhwal, and Kishtwar. His guiding work via himalaya-alpine.com and personal pursuits bring him on 8-10 exploratory expeditions each year. Follow his journey on Instagram @luke_smithwick.

Gray Thompson

Born and raised in the concrete jungle of San Francisco, Gray Thompson discovered snowboarding as his escape into the natural world. Now calling Kings Beach, CA home base, Gray spends most of his time exploring the Sierra Nevada and mountain ranges around the globe with a snowboard under his feet and a camera in hand. Cofounder of Warp Wave and United Shapes Snowboards, Gray is constantly in motion, creating and contributing to snowboard culture through multiple mediums. Keep up with Gray’s latest adventures on Instagram @graythompson_.
