Annie Fast
Annie Fast is a writer and editor based in Bend, OR, by way of Encinitas, CA, and Bozeman, MT. One of her first published articles appeared in issue #1 of this journal in 2001 documenting a splitboarding trip to Haines, AK. So this is something of a homecoming for her. Between these bylines, Annie worked as an editor at TransWorld Snowboarding, eventually becoming the editor, a first for women in action sports. She currently writes for Travel Oregon among others and dabbles in meaningful communications projects, most recently with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team at the Beijing Winter Olympics. A snowboarder since 1989, she still really loves to snowboard and mostly rides at Mt. Bachelor with her 6-year-old son Flint and her husband Justin Eeles.
Todd Glaser
Todd Glaser is a San Diego-born photographer, surfer and waterman. A Surfer staff photographer for over a decade, Todd earned more than a dozen covers during his tenure at the magazine. Equally talented shooting land, water and lifestyle photography, his work has also appeared in The New York Times, Outside, Men’s Health, GQ and the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. When he isn’t globe-trotting chasing swells, treading water shooting in the tropics, or capturing images of the first wave ever ridden at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch, Todd can be found riding waves around his home, riding his bike, and enjoying the company of his wife, Jenna. He also likes to snowboard.
Luke Tokunaga
Originally from Stockton, CA, Luke Tokunaga currently lives in Boise, ID. As the marketing manager for nonprofit mountain recreation area called Bogus Basin, Luke started hanging with locals and snowboarding and skateboarding during his first years there, becoming close friends with riders such as Julian Gluck and Evan Bowers, skater Elliot Saxton and more talented up-and-comers. Luke is thankful for the time they’ve spent shooting and creating art with him and feels lucky that it has led to work with Autumn Headwear, one of his favorite brands. Owen Tozer
Based between London and Devon in the southwest of the United Kingdom, Owen Tozer is an art director, designer, photographer and filmmaker. He began as a designer before moving into art direction and creative direction, and then onto shooting his own films and photos. Owen is a contributing photographer for Conde Nast Traveller, a collaborator on the podcast Looking Sideways, and cofounder and creative director of the newly launched cannabis brand, Goodrays. His first book, Looking Sideways Vol. 1, is available on wearelookingsideways.com.
Chris Wellhausen
Born in Northern California, Chris Wellhausen learned to snowboard on the Ice Coast during junior high and high school. Upon graduation, he gravitated west to Lake Tahoe, CA, with ambitions to experience the deep winters he’d seen in snowboard films growing up. Spending seven seasons there, he took up photography and discovered a passion for outdoor adventures that set the tone for him to develop a professional career. From 2007-2019, Chris worked as a photo editor at TransWorld Snowboarding, capping that off with a couple more years at Snowboarder Magazine and a year at Men’s Journal, before setting off on his own to diversify his craft. Now residing in San Diego with his wife and daughters, Chris continues to refine his photography by pursuing travels to powdery snowboard locations during winter and blending the rest of his year with mountain biking and other outdoor adventures, while also taking on commercial clients.
