BEKAH ASHLEY (01)

Bekah Ashley developed a passion for snowboarding while growing up in New York and Vermont. For the past decade, she has volunteered with Park Affair, an organization that supports representation of women, girls and non-binary folks in snowboarding. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, UT, where she works at Sierra Club, advocating for local, state and federal climate policies. When she’s not busy at work, Bekah spends as much time as possible in the Wasatch, climbing and splitboarding. She is grateful for her 15-plus years of snowboarding and the incredible community surrounding it.

Ethan “E-Stone” Fortier (02)

Ethan “E-Stone” Fortier grew up riding Bolton Valley out of Colchester, VT. After spending much of the ’90s in Vail, CO, he moved to Salt Lake City, UT, where he still lives and rides Brighton on the regular. One of the primary photographers who has defined our culture for the past 30 years, he now holds down a microphone as a podcast host for Stonies Buds as well as announcing events. You can follow Ethan on Instagram at @stoniesbuds, @e_stone_photo and @gnomiemugz and find him on the web at e-stonephoto.com and stoniesbuds.com.

Robin Van Gyn (03)

Hailing from Victoria, BC, Robin Van Gyn now splits her time between Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island and Glacier, WA. She’s been a professional snowboarder for the past decade-plus and now rides for Arc’Teryx, Jones Snowboards, Yeti, Sierra Nevada, Gordini, Yakima Racks, POC Sports and Ford Bronco. In addition to her athletic pursuits, Robin is a film producer and dog mom to Stella the land seal. You can follow her on Instagram at @robinvangyn and read her full story (so far) in Issue 19.1 of this title.

Kevin Nolan (04)

Born and raised a few valleys over from the misty back bowls of Alpental Ski Area, Kevin Nolan grew up snowboarding in Washington before moving to Montana, where he studied Film and Photography at the state university in Bozeman. There, his original ambitions of working in Hollywood were quickly thrown out the window when he realized snowboarding every day was way more fun than spending his life on a soundstage. He pays the bills filming snowboarding and spends his winters trying to keep his hands warm and waiting for the light to get good in snowy locales throughout the world, while finding time to freeride at Mt. Baker. You can follow Kevin’s work on Instagram at @kevinnolan___ or on the web at www.kevinnolan.work.

Alex Yoder (05)

Raised in Jackson, WY, Alex Yoder is known for his smooth style on snow and thoughtful approach to life, both of which have led to long-term partnerships with Patagonia, Gentemstick, Karakoram and other endemic brands. His relationship with Patagonia and commitment to environmental stewardship inspired him to launch Overview Coffee, a company focused on environmentally responsible production of the world’s most popular caffeinated beverage. His passions for snowboarding, travel, photography and filmmaking have taken him all over the world. If he’s not at home in the Tetons, he’s most likely found on extended stays in Hokkaido or in unlikely snowboarding destinations like Turkey or Scotland. Follow him on Instagram @yoderyoder and learn more at overviewcoffee.com.
