About 15 years ago, I paid a visit to the old Baxendell compound. This was the original chicken coop we converted to our first snowboard factory. Prior to this we laid up our first snowboard in my backyard. Doug and I built a fiberglass shell and we wanted to mount a deck to it, but felt we needed a foam layer between the two decks, so we mixed up this liquid and poured it into the shell and put the deck on it. The foam started to rise a lot more than we estimated, so we both jumped on it to no avail. It continued to rise until it was about a foot thick. It just mushroomed everywhere. It took us about a week of work to cut it all away and try again. Photo: DeLost Archives 038 THE SNOWBOARDER’S JOURNAL
