For David Bertschinger-Karg’s short film series, “projectDETOUR,” we did a classic California road trip. Harley Davidson hooked us up with a couple of bikes and San Clemente surf legend Bill Stewart lent us his truck. We filled up the ride with our surf, skate and snowboards and off we went up Highway 101 from SoCal through Big Sur, to Mammoth and back. It was a trip of a lifetime for some Swiss mountain goats like us, but Eric Messier and Shayne Pospisil also had their fun.
