We left our borrowed snowmobile behind to descend Soldier’s inbounds terrain, cruising over a mellow rolling fall line before finding this windlip. It provided decent hang time for its size and consistently cold temps kept the landing super-soft, but hiking was difficult. When one rider landed, the other would toss Verts snowshoes like frisbees down to them. Matt Wainhouse powered through sinking steps to stomp a handful of tricks, including this lofty frontside 360.
