LEFT Lucas Debari and Alaska go very well together—bold, outspoken and intense. I believe this session in Haines with Absinthe Films for Eversince (2015) was Lucas’ last hurrah filming for a major snowboard movie before he “retired.” We had amazing conditions, and this was his first run of the morning. It was classic Debari: all or nothing right out of the gate. I’ve never seen anyone go faster on a snowboard in person than Lucas. RIGHT TOP I love throwing on my fisheye, wrap-ping my camera strap around my wrist and telling the guys to have fun and stay close while I try to keep up. I love shooting with this guy and have watched him really come into his own filming and shooting in powder over the years. His stoke meter is always full, he rarely falls and always brings the high octane. Right after this run, I put the camera away, and Austen and I paired up and took the longest, best pow surf runs of our lives just to the side of the Ultra Natural course at Baldface Lodge, BC.
