“The terrain at Baker is constantly evolving over the course of winter. Some of the most unique features only form for a week or two in early December, and if it’s not blue for a day or two, you might as well wait until next season. Mark Landvik, Sarge [Patrick McCarthy] and I hit this feature a week before I snapped this image on December 22 and it was perfect. After a week of storms, the weather broke and we headed back. Turned out it needed a lot more shovel work. With landing options left and right, Mark went center with this floaty switch front 3.
