It was rad getting to ride with Shayne Pospisil a bit this year. He fit right into the crew, shared our mutual love for riding powder and wasn’t afraid to hike for it. Here, Shayne floats a shifty over a spruce tree in the Stowe backcountry on Feb. 22, 2019. It had only snowed about four inches the night before, but I knew there was a chance this riverbed blew in if the winds were out of the northwest. We were pleasantly surprised with 8-10 inches in one of the best top-to-bottom riverbed runs Vermont has to offer.
