It’s always nice when Mother Nature gives you a gift like this. We rolled up this perfect lip off a cornice—a quick pat down and she was ready to go. Austin Smith was wearing all black the day before, possibly the worst combo ever for shooting in AK, and I told him unless he wants to look like a rock, he should change his jacket. Luckily, he did—otherwise I probably would have deleted this photo. Thanks, Austin.
